No Surprise you're negative and wrong again. LOL. You must have a miserable life, you're so negative in 100% of all your posts. Go Dodgers!

It's REALLY early in the season, but the parity between AL West teams leads me to believe that if the As can actually score some runs like they have recently, they will be difficult catch if they go on a long win-streak. I really haven't been impressed by Texas (reigning AL champs) and LA has looked terrible the past few games. We shall see. GO OAKLAND!

Agreed - they lead the league if not the bigs in staff ERA. Now if they can get some offense they have a shot. Jury is still out on Matsui and his production. If he can't do it, the A's should consider some hitters who may be available around the All Star Break that they can get cheap from teams that are out of contention.

RIP Harmon Killebrew, the former Twins' slugger. He used to broadcast for the A's between 1979-82 during the BillyBall era.

I posted earlier in this thread about my plans to check out my favorite team the Minnesota Twins play in Oakland (I moved from MN to SF a few months ago).

I went to the game today and it was a blast. And the Twins beat the A's 11-1 so even better.

I'd never been to Oakland before and it was fun. I took BART which made it really easy.

From my front door to the Coliseum took me a little over an hour. Took the Muni to Powell Station then jumped on BART. I'll for sure go to more games this season.

Next up I'm going to see the Twins play the Giants when they're here for an inter-league series.

If you want to see, I posted pics of the game in the Oakland Pics thread of this forum...

That's so cool! I remember your post. Thankfully, Anaheim and Texas are both playing awful too so we don't mind the shellacking we took at the hands of your Twins as much.

Glad you had fun - it's a pretty neat old park. On Wednesday's, outfield tickets are only $2 and it's pretty easy to move elsewhere, obviously.

Hopefully Oakland can manage a new park within the decade for you to see also.

I've been a lifelong A's fan. They are the most underrated team in baseball. Their pitching rotation is without a doubt the best in the MLB, and has been for a long time. With the additions of Crisp, Willingham, DeJesus and Matsui in the last two years they have added needed hitters and I believe they will win their division this year. But please, please, please don't move away from Oakland!! I never miss a game. I truly believe with a new stadium closer to the bay (possibly near Jack London's Square) they will increase their attendance astronomically.

As I figured, the numbers would pan out over time. So much for that 26% figure.

+7.3% is better than nothing.

25th out of 29th is actually better than I would have thought. Imagine if we get a new stadium!

And imagine if we had an owner that didn't bash the city of Oakland and alienate its fan base.
