Hi! So, I'm accepting a job in Sacramento, but I really want to live in the bay area, specifically Walnut Creek. My hours at my job will be 7am to 7pm 3 days a week. Will the commute be doable? Or will there be tons of traffic? Thanks in advance for any information.

At first it seems like a breeze. I used to commute from Oakland to Sacramento and it is smooth sailing all the way to Davis before it slows a little and then a little more when you get into Sac.

I would agree with 18Montclair. Just live in Sacramento. It's a nice place to live. Just as diverse, lots of great restaurants, lots of stuff to do. Of course it isn't on the Bay. And there are less urban areas. But you will find something with a similar vibe as the bay area, with a shorter commute. You can always visit on the weekend.
