Family with 2 teenagers relocating to the Palo Alto area within the next 3 months trying to decide where to live. What can anyone tell me about the differences in the 3 above named high schools? (Paly, Gunn, and Los Altos HS?)
Academics, sports, student involvement, gangs, drugs, academic competitiveness, extracurricular activities, type of student, campus life, etc. Basically anything that would help us to make the decision on where to send an incoming junior and sophomore next year? ( I understand the financial aspect of the housing in these areas, just interested in school info )

I voted for Gunn simply because it's seemingly as good as Paly but obviously with far less hype (especially now that Jason Lin went big!).

My two kids graduated from Paly. They both got a good education were exposed to lot of pressure to succeed and to keep with the Jones' offspring.

That's what everyone I have met who went to Paly tells me.
