I am looking for a short term private studio/1 bed room apartment with 1-2 months lease in the SF Bay area which is fully furnished. All the sites I've searched up seem to be not furnished and long lease at 6 months minimum. Anybody know where I can find some? I'm just 1 person and my budget is about $2.5k max. Can go a little higher is needed.

I would check airbnb.com as well as corporatehousingbyowner.com. Good luck!

Look online for Bed and Breakfast advertisements. Those are usually shorter=term than what you're looking for, but you might be able to work out a deal. It's the hidden rental market. That's how people keep their mother-in-law apartments off the rent-controlled rolls. Berkeley has these.

Already went through airbnb for whole apartments and contacted those within my budget. Don't seem to have anything on my dates. I need to move in quick on next month. Corporatehousingbyowner also don't have anything which has next month move in.

Bed and breakfast? Those are hotels right? The rooms are kinda too small for 1-2 months living. I need a proper apartment and not at Berkeley.

No, some of them are one-bedroom apartments. I don't know if San Francisco has those, maybe not. It's a way to keep apartment rental income outside of the rent-control laws. What part of the Bay Area were you looking for?

Any decent area is fine.

But you said, not Berkeley?

The other possibility is to look on Craigslist for sub-lets. students will be finishing for the summer, and may want someone to take their apartment for the summer, or part of the summer. The university in Berkeley lets out in May already, others usually in June.

Isn't Berkeley the other side of SF Bay area? I think my only bet is the get a hotel first then slowly call of craiglist people.

Yes. It's still in the Bay Area though, so...

$2,500 in SF for a corporate rental is bottom of the barrel. That's middle of the 1 bedroom rent territory... short-term always has a pretty heft premium + furnishings. A hotel is going to be a minimum of $100/night, more like $150 w/ taxes. Airbnb and looking for a private room if you want to be in a private room for $2,500 a month.

Berkeley is on the East side of the Bay, easily accessible to San Fran by light rail. You still haven't told us where you need to be located, or where you'll be working.

There are several universities in San Fran, so there may be summer sublets opening up there, as well. I'd look up Craigslist this weekend, if I were you, and look for "sublets".
