If you actually live in Fresno, you'd probably realize that it's not in the Bay Area.

Really? Where do you live in Fresno? I would suggest investing in a dashcam and security cameras around your neighborhood watch. All pitch in and have a security company come out. Thats what my neighborhood did and it died down becuase whatever group did it got caught twice in our neigborhood from our cameras.

I used to do contract jobs there many years ago with a meager per diem.
I never felt safe in the cheaper hotels off of 99.
People would actually knock on my hotel room and beg for money.
These “cheap rooms” in the early mid 80’s were about $40 per night so they were not that cheap actually.

Why some one would want to live in the “City” of Fresno is beyond me when there is nice living in the foothills is beyond me.

Other than that welcome to the Bay Area forums .

But I thought immigration was a “benefit” to the u.s. anyone who has ever stepped foot in Fresno would realize how much a crock of **** that statement actually is. Anyways you probably voted for the candidates that allow those people in and now you get to deal with the repercussions. Enjoy!

Ever been to Albuquerque, St Louis, Kansas City, Detroit, or memphis? Aren't you from Oakland?
Fresno has its issues, but it's not that scary. 2020 saw a big jump in crime, but things will stabilize, they always do.

Edit: Fresno will probably end up with 50-60 homicides in 2021. Not good, but also not scary bad.

Those cheap motels are no more. Theyre all low income housing today.
Foothills are for retirees with money. Theyre slow growth for some weird reason, which is a shame. I think friant is the only area pushing for big growth Right now.
