I really don't see why people here are up in arms about my posts--the only time I'm rude to anyone is when they've attacked me first. As for redwoodlvr, I don't give a fig whether she has me on Ignore--I have nothing to learn from her posts anyway.

Because as far as I can tell, you have NEVER even lived in the Bay Area but for some odd reason speak like you have that experiance. Do you seriously not understand how others will get annoyed when some outsider that has never even lived in the Bay Area is going around acting like they know all there is to know about it? Honestly its just really weird at this point and I don't get why you are so obsessed with this SF forum when you have little to no connection to the region at all.

So please explain and enlighten us to your way of thinking that causes you to feel like you can speak of the Bay Area as if you actually have any experiance living here.

Hello!? I have been there on vaca. three times, and have general knowledge of the of the region. I also know people who used to live there so I have the specialized knowledge I gained from them. So I thought it would be nice to pop in here from time to time and help people who are new to the area and warn them about where not to go and live. That is my only motivation for being on this forum.

Do you really not understand the difference between vacationing somewhere and living somewhere? Even knowing people from the area won't give you the full picture of what its like to live here and to truly understand it. Plus people that moved away b/c it was too expensive or b/c they just didn't like it anymore will have a different perspective than many current and former residents.

You've just gone too far with what you say many times. Locals and natives have tried to correct you but you just will continue thinking you're right despite you not having any actual experiance living there. Its fine for visitors who have some general knowledge of the area to help others out but I think you just go too far, make too many assumptions, and don't really have a good idea what you're talking about. You can't get a full sense of the Bay Area and what is it and all about from the media, a few vacations, or word of mouth. People on these forums tend to speak from experiance, which as for living in the Bay Area you do not have.

You've been here on Vacation 3 times, and know people who live around here...fine. But you're still arguing with people who've LIVED here for years. Why exactly do you think you know more than us?

Why even respond to it anymore? It's obvious now this person is sitting at home laughing and finding this highly amusing because they are so deep into annoying people it can't stop. This person has either never been to the Bay Area ever or actually lives here and is trying to be funny by portraying the stereotypical Arkansas resident. I'm not buying it.

What I don't understand is why the Mod is allowing this, when they censor and warn people over EVERYTHING yet this blind trolling is allowed? I don't understand.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

You didn't know Brentwood was a city in Contra Costa county, not just where OJ lived.

You said that Chinatown is safe and diverse. (it's neither)

You recommended a "cheap" single-room hotel in Union Square to someone going to college on the west side of San Francisco. And you honestly thought that would be helpful.

You think San Francisco is just as expensive as New York City. Sorry, but the cost of living in SF is tame compared to the NYC metro area.

And that's just off the top of my head. You display a deep ignorance and misunderstanding of an area that a lot of people here know a lot more about than you do.

sonarrat, my favorite was the recommendation of Yuba City as being a urban life style located commuting distance to Palo Alto. A small farm town 150 miles away from Palo Alto is a good answer???

Because the mods love my posts, and they know I'm right.
