Oakland - due to major resurgence of crime in East Oakland.

Richmond - nothing new. Has been a pit since they shut down the old Kaiser ship yards after the war.

But don't confuse what I mention there -- because it isn't because he's a democrat -- it's because it's a city with things going for it. It's people aren't as poor, most-to-all have jobs, and it helps that there aren't as many of them.
Your right, Salt Lake City isn't as poor as Oakland, its even poorer.

Oakland

The median income for a household in the city was $40,055, and the median income for a family was $44,384. Males had a median income of $37,433 versus $35,088 for females

This guy is an obvious troll, he doesn't understand the cost of living variations from region to region or why minorities who tend to vote democratic often are lower income based on socioeconomic factors that are a direct result of decades and centuries of racism and inequality. But he's another troll so it's a pointless argument.

so what does it mean when the majority of the most dangerous states are red?

Most Dangerous States - WalletPop

People try to simply this crap as "liberal" this or "conservative" that but its NOT that simple at all.You can find examples to support either view if you want to cherry pick stats like that then interpret them to view your point of view.

I'm a troll because I bring the facts and your uncomfortable with them? Thats not my problem.

They vote democratic because democrats attempt to buy their vote with token positions and entitlements. Since republicans don't tend to do that, the democrats don't get alot of competition in the inner city.

By your logic, it appears that the GOP does that at state level since the most dangerous states are overwhelmingly red.

It might be because democrats generally try to help the poor while republicans generally seem unconcerned about anyone not in the top 5% of earners
I usually dislike both democrats republicans equally, but when it comes to economics, republicans try to tax the poor out of what little income they have while lowering the taxes on millionaires. Of course inner city votes are going to go the left because the left actually tries to help deal with inner city problems. You cant expect people to vote for you if your policies would negatively effect them.

Yeah, because the left has been helping people out of poverty and reducing inner city crime rates for the last 40 years.
