Yes, of course the west coast has a unique culture. There is a unique culture anywhere you happen to be. If you were born in a particular place you are generally more keen on enjoying, tolerating or hating that particular collective social experience. Our lifestyle choices more often than not dictate where we happen to end up in life or perhaps more correctly, where we choose to be. It seems we have much more in common with the birds than we want to believe.
