I remember in January/Feb 2006 it rained like 40 something days straight here in Santa Rosa, either from a day with a little drizzle to a day of a lot of heavy rain. I don't think there was one day of those 40 that didn't have any rain.

even though rain be can pretty chill, it's been too much of and I almost kinda forget what a hot summery day feels like, even though there were some nice days that were in the 70s/80s the past month. hopefully we'll get some soon so we can actually do something outside.

All that rain sounds great from the Southern California perspective. More water to fill up the reservoirs in northern California that are still below normal in capacity. It hasn't rained that much down here but the rainfall for the year is above normal. California needs all the rain it can get. Today was cloudy & even a sprinkle. Very cool month.

93 was an incredible rain year in Ca. for sure bella. In SD it rained all but like 6 days in January. In San Diego! That was a crazy year too for sure.

Well apparently the OP is ahead of the Chronicle on this topic:

Last May, the Bay Area had a heat wave in the third week of the month, with temperatures in the 80s in San Francisco. This year, the temperature has barely cracked 60.

While rain around the Bay Area is not unusual in May, the dreary, chilly weather is out of the ordinary. Mike Pechner, a private meteorologist who has been observing and forecasting weather in Northern California for 30 years, calls the string of cold, wet weather "unprecedented in its strength and duration."
