My parents are looking into moving to the Bay Area (for reasons that are related to this post... but I won't say because I'm trying to keep it short.) Requirements: What are the best cities and neighborhoods that meet our criteria?

Many places can meet your criteria. What is the price range? That will determine everything. Are your parents retired or will they be working? Is commuting a factor?

My parents will be working. My dad already has a job and once my mom gets one we'll officially go looking. The price range is 325k - 600k with 3+ bedrooms and 2+ bathrooms.
