Hi All,

This is my second 4th July in the USA ! last year we went to the Mountain Winery and whilst nice we couldn't really see much of any fireworks displays etc.

Any recommendations for 2 adults (no kids) to go and just get some atmosphere and see some fireworks?

Thanks

Well, I imagine there are firework displays all over the place. Mountain View does something over at Shoreline Amphitheater. You can watch them for free if you go to Shoreline Park and are early enough to get in and find parking. You could get something to eat at Michael's restaurant and then hang out.

Getting out is a pain as I discovered a few years ago. I lived a five minute drive from there. It took me at least an hour to get home after the fireworks because the city let people in the paid Amphitheater get right out. Those of us in the city park were directed all the way to Palo Alto and had to find our way back from there. Very irritating!

Specifically regarding Shoreline, you can bike north from Moffett Blvd and settle on top of one of the small hills before Shoreline. No traffic coming back
