Hey. We want to move in San Jose, I and my husband. We want to rent an apartment or a house. And also we need a car. In what area is best to move? Is it possible to rent the apartment to $ 1000? Please name the sites where you can watch a rental home. For what price you can buy a car easy. And where it is possible to buy a car?Thank you

You will not be able to find any apartment for $1000, even in bad areas. Read some of the other threads on this site to hear the gory details.

I have to assume that your income in not very high, if so, do not move here, it's very very expensive.

Look on Craigslist.org to find a car.

You need minimim $1500 for a studio or one bedroom apartment in San Jose, and it is small, old, and located in undesirable neighbourhoods. Most people rent starting from $2500. Detached houses are much more expensive, starting from $3000.

Car: you can easily buy an used car on Craigslist (a person before me mentioned that) or from official dealers. Very old and ugly car can cost as minimum as $1500-2000 plus registration fee, etc but in case something broken maintenance/mechanic work would be very expensive. Mechanic work hours are expensive here. So I very recommend to buy something more reliable, and better from $4000-5000 and more is better. Also, do not forget you need to pay for car insurance every month.

Just in case you need this information... a lot of Muslims live in Milpitas, it is north from San Jose.

A quick search on a site like Zillow.com or Craigslist.com will give you an idea of the availability (or not) of rentals in your price range in different areas close to San Jose. If you are interested in crime in the local area for an address, try crimemapping.com. Craigslist and Autotrader.com are good places to get an idea of used car prices. For jobs, Monster.com and Indeed.com are good starting points for research.
