Where are white people hanging out in parks? (Redding, Mountain View: buying, live)

In the few years it took California to increase 50% in total population, the total white population decreased by 5,000,000.

What the OP is seeing, is the White Population in the Silicon Valley area of California has been fleeing and replaced by other than white race. The OP is seeing the results of the change in demographics taking place. Some young white people have migrated to California over the last few years, but they leave the state faster then they are entering the state.

The following charts, show that the young family population is not White People. This is proven by the demographics of the schools.

The people going to parks, are largely younger families and singles. The white race is rapidly becoming the older non park going generation.

White and black middle class has been fleeing California for years, and the newspapers have noted it many times over the last few years.

And the new $15 minimum wage, is driving a lot more jobs out of California which will accelerate.

Those Russians are now starting to buy land in Santa Cruz, planning ahead for retirement. They've joined the mainstream. The first wave aren't newcomers, anymore.

Probably because they only count citizens and permanent residents, while many of our Indian folks are here on shorter-term visas.

Also, why does the OP care? Do you need to be surrounded by white people to enjoy the park? I understand just being curious, but this seems rather petty... and if you don't like Indians/Asians, I'd suggest not living in Silicon Valley.

Yeah, but we're not talking about looking for friends/dates or a neighborhood to live in - this person (apparently) just wants to be AROUND other white people, in a public space where they probably won't even interact. That's suspect imo, and I'm so white I'm practically see-through. I'd also question the same from a non-white, especially if they were actively seeking *insert race*-dominant public spaces.
