Default Moving to South bay area and can't find an area.

My husband is working in Mountain view and I have two elem. age kids to consider we also have a tiny dog. IYHO where can we go to find a 2bed 1ba townhome that is 1400-1600 a month and not too scary. I know the dosh is low but we have a house we are trying to sell
Thanks

classifieds - craigslist

As you can see, the selection isn't plentiful, but it is possible. A place in Sunnyvale 94087 would be great since that's a Cupertino school district. I see a listing in Los Gatos too, which is very nice and would be well worth the commute if it actually has Los Gatos schools (some places in LG have Campbell schools, which is OK too).

Maybe try Redwood City. There are gritty parts but there are also good parts. A condo conversion (e.g. former apartment) may be doable at the high end of that range, in an OK middle class hood.

Yep, I agree with Sona and Bayarea, staying near cupertino schools is a good idea, friends of ours left morgan hill and are in redwood city and love the schools there. lots of luck
