Hello! We moved here almost 4 months ago and have not gone out without the kids since we've been here.. With family in town for Thanksgiving, we have the opportunity to go on a "date night" this week. So, I'm asking for help! If you had one night to go out on a special date in the Sarasota/Bradenton area, where would you go? Thanks so much for your help!

The Beach House or Mar Vista.

If you're talking without the kids or anyone else in tow, I'd say Bijou Cafe for dinner & Van Wezel for a show. That's "special."

Due to holiday timing, you'd have to of course, check what's at the VW as well as whether you need reservations.

Otherwise, I'd head to Anna Maria island & have dinner at Beach Bistro. If you go to Sandbar or The Beachouse, you will be having a date with everyone else's families as well.....

Not really sure what you're looking for; hope this helps!

Depending on how early you can get out.. We would hit the beach for a romantic stroll, then head to dinner at the Banana Cabana right across from Bradenton Beach.. it's small, very cozy and has a fun atmosphere, not too many kids either. Their macademia nut encrusted stuffed grouper is to die for.. Next onward for dessert or drinks... OLeary's down by Marina Jacks offers a nice, beachy atmosphere for some drinks and maybe a stroll along the bay to look at all the boats--(Hey, gotta get the husband to drool somehow LOL)...HAVE FUN!!!!

I'd probably say:

Blasé on Siesta Key or possibly Euphemia Haye on Longboat. Mar Vista on LBK works as well. There's really a lot of good options and already a lot of good suggestions!

Wow, thanks for all the recommendations! I'm currently looking up all the menus to see which one we'd prefer. Sounds like we have plenty to choose from. Yes, this will be a night without the kiddos...woohoo! Thanks again!
