I don't see prices dropping, I see the market (number of available shoppers and buyers) remaining strong through this year, and as inventory continue to sell prices will rise again next year. That said, and as I've said before there are some great deals out there right now.

Good observation. I'd be curious how houses & condos are going in the $250-$500,000 and $500,000 and up. I'd bet those sales have come back pretty good and prices have stabilized more.

Another article for consideration. North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton #1 on the list.

I looked at the AOL article--
FTW where I live (or close to anyway) is one of the top 10 cities listed as where people are moving
but the house that is used as example of what is for sale is pretty far off the mark--
that house is in area of FTW that is NOT that desirable--it is probably least desirable area with some of the worse schools...
so whoever picked it as "typical" lacks any true insight into local RE issues
if it was picked because it is lot of house for small price==you get what you pay for--

Loves,
You are probably right. That is the way the press works now. Don't work hard to get a real story. Publish facts with lack of understanding, and leave the responsibility to others. Its not like it used to be where you would get a full and balanced researched thoroughly story - one that might actually be useful information. "Sell the headline, not the story."
