Yeah, I agree with happy NO playground! Not appropriate for such an upscale mall.

And by the way, Benderson is VERY philanthropic, - he donated a whole store for the use of animal charity.

No play area for kids, but there will be a day care area for the elderly

Speaking of what's not in the video, has anyone come across anything describing whether there will be a food court in UTC? I'm aware of the full service restaurant concepts going in, but I'm curious about the other options.

In Mall at University Town Center, dinosaur fossil walls and sophisticated skylight | Mall at University Town Center | Bradenton Herald

BOOM. Picture from 10/4/2014 of the new mall. Kids area included. Any more hot unfounded speculation out there before they see the new mall?

I've heard they won't have a full service hospital on-site so I don't know why anyone would consider going there. What were they thinking?

But to boycott the mall based on this? If I go to the mall, it's to shop, I don't see it as a social outing. There are many nice playgrounds in the area, maybe they didn't see the need for it in the mall and wanted to leave the focus on people who are serious consumers, not people who are just using it as a day out. Just my thought : )
Actually International Mall in Tampa does have a children's play ground. They even just renovated it a couple of months ago.

I just love spending $3.50 per gallon to drive to a mall, walk across a hot parking lot, and enter a space echoing with the screams and shouts of other people's poorly socialized offspring. Wonder if that new website Amazon will ever be successful?

I was in Orlando last year the day after Christmas and, against my better judgment, was talked into going to one of those giant factory shop malls. The traffic there really was a mess and I drove around for a ridiculous amount of time looking for a parking spot until I finally gave in and used their valet service. It was worth every penny.
