For the young professionals to grow you generally need jobs where they can go be professional outside the food/bev industry and right now Sarasota doesn't offer much of that. These threads are always the same, people in their 50's saying there is plenty of young people, and almost every actual young person saying it's likely better in St Pete or Tampa.
