Soho South and a a familiar actor too!

Had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque, which was good, and got to watch Leslie Jordon, the dimunitive actor, talk on the phone while scraping dog **** off his shoe, just outside the window.

He's quite nice looking in person.

He did a sold out show at Club One on Saturday night. Originally from Chattanooga, lives in Atlanta I think?

Did you go? He always plays such funny characters.

I was struck by how really nice he looked. My son and dh were in their usual tee shirts, ball caps, and sandals and Leslie had a really nice, well fitting outfit on. He was probably hot though.

Incidentally, did you know there's a bullet hole in the window of Soho? Wonder what the story is?

Paula Deens Creek House.
We had an early dinner there yesterday, and I highly recommend it. The decor is nice, and the restaurant is spotless.
Recommend: the Shrimp and Grits, and Scallops Pomodoro (9 huge scallops). The food was good, the view was good, and everything was piping hot and beautifully presented.

The only thing I was missing was there was no fresh fish option on the menu.

Default Suga Rosa

Went to Suga Rosa tonight in the Publix shopping center on Abercorn. First time for me. Italian with wood fired pizza. Pasta, traditional ital (red sauce place). Very attractive restaurant.

I would say for most people they would have a good opinion of the cuisine. For an Italian it's a Meh. Worth a visit. Pizza looked good maybe I would try next time IF I go back.

Nice bar. Caesar salad good and priced well. Eggplant parm made very much ahead, understandable ,and then nuked...underwhelmed. With a wood fired oven at 800 degrees what would it take to put the parm in there for one friggen minute?

It's been eons since I've been to Savannah, but a restaurant there has always been a favorite of mine, The Pirate's House. How is it these days? I go back to the 70's/80's when traveling to visit my grandparents in West Palm Beach where we'd pass through Savannah just to go there.

Pirate's House is still packing them in. Lots of locals call it a tourist trap. It's a bit overpriced for what you get, but that also includes history (oldest building in Georgia) and ambience (pirates roaming the dining room). The daily lunch buffet is very good.
