Have you considered selling your car and not having one in Seattle? You could avoid the expense of moving it AND save money on your budget. If you are looking into the areas that have been recommended - and you are going to try to live close to where you work - you probably will not need a car, and there is always the Flexcar options for when you do want one.

Just a thought - but considering that you have budget concerns AND you have expressed you don't really like to drive anyway - that might be a good option for you.

Good luck.

Possible, but not practical. Seattle's mass-transit is getting better, but has a long way to go, IMHO. However, it is better than LA, or Phoenix.

Default It depends.

It all comes down to how much debt you have. If you owe lots of money it might be tough. If you don't have any debts you will be fine. If you are one of these debt slaves good luck.
