Hi - Just wanted to get some input on whether or not Seatlle has any singles over 35? I'm a female, considering moving from the SF Bay Area but don't want to get someplace where there is no one to meet (but I'm tired of the Bay Area prices)! Realize you can only generalize but any insight, input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

To me - there's more for the "over 35" crowd then the 20-somethings

Sure the prices are lower than Cali., (but thanks to my Cali. neighbors) prices are increasing because they're buying houses at a rapid rate. But that's for another thread. I'm a single woman over 35 and please don't move up here. Men are laid back, passive aggressive, lazy, and not very cultured. You will be miserable as a single woman up here. I don't know what it is about men in the PNW but their kinda lame. They'e very cliquish and exclusive with who they deal with. If you aren't in their circle of friends, networking and making convo is hard.

Please consider a different city. I'm born and raised here and the dating pool is pretty pitiful.

As I've stated in previous posts, there are way too many guys up here and not enough women. If you are even remotely attractive as a woman, you will not have a hard time finding someone here. Every bar I go to I see single women being approached by several guys. I'm married and when my wife and I go out guys will approach her and her girlfriends to chat them up when my buddies and I are off getting a drink at the bar or something. However, I think the bigger problem is that a lot of the women out here do NOT even try to look good. They won't wear decent clothes to go out (a lot wear clothing that is 10 yrs old sometimes!), they don't fix their hair, they don't take care of their bodies and they expect men to notice them. If you're not having any luck in SF then I wouldn't expect too much from Seattle even though the ratio is in your favour. If your single/dating life is good in SF then it will be fine up here too.

It's funny (and dangerous for you!) that you said that because I've noticed the same thing. Being from California, I sort of found it refreshing that everyone wasn't tan, thin and plastic. Although, that fact was glaringly obvious.
