Moving to Bainbridge shortly and we're wondering if there are any late night cafes, restaurants or bars on the island.

We were there on a Tuesday night on a lark and it looked pretty dead. Before I started looking around online I thought I'd ask you guys. I guess you could say we are night owls.

The ferry to Seattle is always crowded on Saturday afternoons, and there's a good reason for that!

There is a little more to do in nearby Poulsbo, but you'd really have to go to Silverdale if not Seattle.

There were a couple little restaurants there. I remember a bar that was at the BI yacht club that would be open late. It had the typical NW low-light timber interior and a big deck out back that overlooked the harbor/sound/Seattle. In summer I recall it would be open late enough to go there after a ferry ride back from Seattle following an evening Mariner's game. The next closest hangout I remember was the casino about 8? miles away toward Poulsbo, pretty close to the Agate Passage bridge.

If you did want to go to Poulsbo, the downtown has a few options. There was a bar (can't remember the name) right in the busy part of downtown. Not huge, but had good location. Also, there was a Euro-pub downtown, but I remember you had to access from another street back. It overlooked the DT area, but you had to walk completely around the block and go in an entrance that wasn't well marked. You could easily pass it by. They were open late with all different kinds of beer and european style pub food. Think it was called Tisley's or Tizley's.

Yes, the name is Tizley's. Nothing fancy as far as ambiance, but awesome German and other Euro food. Great selection of beer. It has a side entrance, not around the block, just alongside the building and it does have a sign on the sidewalk. Maybe it's better marked now than when you were there. It still helps knowing where it is though. We love Tizley's!

Thanks folks, that is a good starting place. I looked online and found that a few of the old places have shut down. But there are a few that stay open till at least Midnight on the weekends.

The casino just east of Bainbridge would be the closest nightlife. Not Vegas, but there is nothing nearby that can equal it.

You might try The Treehouse Cafe on the West side of the island. They have pool tables and a bar and a movie house next door. Also, the Barrata Bistro/Tapas Bar isnPoulsbo is great

A friend of mine is opening a Tap House on BI now and he promises it will be open till at least Midnight. I ended up moving the Poulsbo and the nightlife is so much better now.

Portside pub, the Loft, Tizley's, the 101. Lots to choose from and you are right the Paella Tapas place is stellar.
