What kind of web development do you do? Front end or back end? What languages/frameworks/technologies have you worked with? There is a big demand for talented developers in Seattle, but if you don't have a degree you'll need to find other ways to display your skill. Do you have a GitHub profile? If not, get one and put some of your code up there, or contribute to some existing projects. I've seen companies that incorporate GitHub into their application process. I'd suggest looking at smaller companies and reaching out to recruiting firms, since a lot of big companies have HR departments that will filter anyone without a degree or equivalent experience. I get emails from recruiters constantly and I don't even have 2 years of professional development experience. I do have a 4-year degree, but it's not in a software-related field. Don't get discouraged.

Another fellow Missoulian wanting to get the hell outa dodge that is Montana and go where their are more opportunities abound. I'm still rebounding between Seattle or Portland depending on where I can find IT work but either or is much better then my current situation for an early 30's bachelor looking to start the next stage of his life in a new state/town.
