I agree that there is a shortage of good Italian and BBQ in Seattle, but there is definitely great affordable Asian. The trick is to accompany an Asian immigrant co-worker or friend to the International District and discover where the best places are. Many of the best are not glitzy and most people would pass them
by, missing out on a great meal. For example I discovered a very filling $5 lunch at a Vietnamese place that ay.

What sucks is that there isn't a long stretch of them that you can walk around and pick from, like in downtown Portland (unless there is somewhere I don't know it?). Although the Food Truck festival is going to be in Fremont on Cinco de Mayo.

there have been several food truck rodeos this year, you just need to find a calendar that has all the events for the year.

but yes, food trucks are heavily regulated here in Seattle, but also pricey. For some of the prices I've seen, I'd prefer to go to a sit down restaurant.

There's the "food truck ghetto" in South Lake Union. (I didn't pick the nickname)

I mostly agree, but if you want a quick lunch to take back to the office, they're better than most cafeteria food.

I'd just hit the U-District or Greenwood which seems to have the widest variety of authentic ethnic options for an affordable price. I find myself wining and dining with college kids to actually experience edible food that will not drain you of your life savings.

LOL That's the coolest thing I've heard all day! Given that Seattle is absent an actual "ghetto", a "food truck ghetto", would fill the void. :-) Man, I can't wait to move... lol 2 more months!

Just keep this on your smartphone, it gives the locations by day, neighborhood and kind of food. There is a "pod" of them at 2nd and Pine on Mondays and Thursdays.

Hello!

My name is Rachel and I am currently a dual-degree postgraduate candidate at San Diego State University and the University of Malta. I am working towards a MSc in Business Administration and an MA in Integrated Marketing Communications.

I am currently working on my final project, which entails creating an integrated marketing plan for a small food truck business in Seattle, Washington, USA.

If you reside or work in Seattle, I would appreciate 10 minutes of your time to fill out this survey.

All of the answers will remain confidential.

Thank you!
