I would concur. This is our 2nd winter here, and it's been very sunny compared to last year. Last year it pretty much rained through Nov, Dec, and Jan, with few breaks. With the darkness of winter and the shortened days, I had some issues with SAD. This year, even though it has been cold, it has been sunny quite often and I find the weather/darkness does not bother me at all.

I'm new to the area too and honestly the rain and clouds doesn't bother me. It doesn't even rain that much. It's just overcast most of the time.

We have been here 20 years and for use the wettest has always been April-June, as many as 33 days straight without a dry moment. It varies greatly depending on location with many micro-climates. We are at 600' on the Sammamish Plateau. The freezing fog we had today is more typical of December here.

From weather.com - average rainfalls: Nov (5.7"), Dec (6.1" - we've had 0.5" this month!), Jan (5.2"), Feb (4.2"), Mar (3.9"), Apr (2.8"), May (2.0"), Jun (1.6")
