Yeah. Dated someone from Maple Valley, she took to just driving up to my house in Kirkland after work on Friday and fleeing Monday morning (worked at Boeing - Renton). I called it the Helicopter Relationship®. I went to her (rental) house in Maple Valley exactly twice in a year, because who the hell wants to go there. It was about 32 miles door-to-door; think about that a moment, in an urban environment where traffic is legion. I wouldn't live there and try and actually go anywhere people want to be in a timely fashion, ever. After more than a year of that, our relationship started to fly like a lead zeppelin and distance was a big part of it. Started to seem more like Earth vs. Mars.

Living in Mill Creek eleven years I faced the same bugaboo and loathed and despised the inconvenience of distance every...single...day. I was seldom home because who the hell wants to hang around there, either.

Recommend OP focus on some of the closer-in options.
