Seattle Public Theatre is showing Christmastown at Greenlake Theatre. It was very funny and I would definitely recommend it but be warned that the seats are tiny, like possibly smaller than airplane seats. https://www.seattlepublictheater.org/christmastown/

Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol
ACT Theatre. Dates: Dec 1- Dec 28, 2018
Location: The Allen Theatre

It’s ACT’s 43rd production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, adapted by Gregory A. Falls. Directed by Kurt Beattie, this celebrated adaptation follows the original Dickens tale taking audiences along on Ebenezer Scrooge’s transformational journey through time. Three ghostly visitors help Scrooge get into the holiday spirit, leading him on a trip through Christmases past, present, and future.

“A Christmas Carol is one of the greatest stories ever told,” Director Kurt Beattie says. “It moves me every year, and it reminds me of how essential human love and kindness are to civilization—things that, it seems, are very lacking in our national conversation at the moment. It’s a great privilege to live in this story, and attempt to communicate it to others once again, and I can’t wait to share our production with our wonderful Seattle audiences.” Ian Bell, who will be making his Scrooge debut and David Pichette will alternate as the curmudgeonly miser Scrooge.

“How wonderful it is to return again to Dickens and his authentic impulse which calls to the best parts of ourselves. This tradition, 43 years in the making, grows in power with each new rendition, infused not only by the actors and artisans who work with an open heart, but also reinvigorated by those who have loved this story, and love to share it,” Artistic Director John Langs says.

NOTE: No one under the age of five will be permitted.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Cornish Playhouse at Seattle Center
Sunday, December 9, 2018
Family Matinee—1 pm concert
Main Event—6pm cocktails, 7pm concert

"Linus and Juicy" is back! The Jose 'Juicy' Gonzales Trio returns to Strawberry Theatre Workshop for the jazziest Christmas party in Seattle. Groove to the fresh sounds of Vince Guaraldi's holiday classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas, played in its entirety. Now in its seventh year, Charlie has jammed its way onto the list of the region's most hip holiday traditions. Sip your cocktails at the Cornish Playhouse. Dress in your favorite jazz threads and step back into 1965, when the music was fly, and Snoopy was still just a drawing on the comics page. Featuring a silent auction of holiday gifts, and the uniquely fine chocolates of Meg Maggie Margaret.

The Trio plays twice on Dec-9. The Main Event features a 6pm cocktail hour, two hours of music, a sales table of fine chocolates, and a silent auction. Earlier, the Trio plays a 1pm Family Matinee with a lower ticket price, discounts for youth, and a shorter set list for families who don't want to stay up late. Both events are at the Cornish Playhouse and both feature the brilliant grooves of Vince Guaraldi.

This year, for the first time, Strawshop is offering a limited number of reserved seats for the 6pm performance of "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Patrons holding Ringside VIP passes will enjoy these benefits.

All proceeds to benefit Strawberry Theatre Workshop programs for 2019. Charlie Brown - strawshop.org
