The rain is pouring down here in Covington! My lawn and plants are so happy! Seems like it's been a long time since we had a real downpour around here! Hope they are getting some in California as well...could sure use it right about now! Hope others enjoy it as much as I do! (I know, in a couple of months we'll all be griping about it raining all the time, but right now it sure is nice!)

Hasn't hit us yet - up north of you. Hope it materializes.

Yes! We've had a good amount here in Rochester.

What a treat for us to get rain...
In August!

Yeah, you bet. Rained a bit here in Kirkland last week, I think, but the heat (seems to have) evaporated it fast. My lawn's thirst was not quenched.

I go through this every year: as we know, July-August are pretty dry here (look it up). Often that runs into September. About that time, it starts raining occasionally, and I feel enormous relief, too.

Hasn't rained in Kirkland much today. Hope that eases up here and rains like a maniac today. See above.

Not for long, however.

You Seattleites can keep your rain. I hate it. It's been raining heavily off and on today down here, too.

Rain in summer! And on saturday, yet (the ultimate insult). Give me back my 90+ degree days! 2017 really burnt me out on summer rain.

(I await your flames.)

No flame here, but it is apparent you don't understand Seattle weather. Seattle has a distinct dry and warm season, usually mid-June to mid-September, but can be narrowed to the day after the 4th of July to the day before Labor Day, sarcastically. Some Seattleites enjoy an occasional break during this season, and in fact, it isn't unusual for this to occur, but only for a day or two at most.
