Hi,

I am relocating with my husband in August/September. We have 2 large dogs (+/- 60lbs) and need to find somewhere to rent. We will be working downtown by the library.

We would like to rent a house, and have a small yard for our dogs, and don't mind training in. Does anyone have any suggestions of area to look at? No homes I've found allow dogs.

Thanks!

How about living in a place like Kent, Tacoma or Everett and using the commuter rail (Sounder) to get downtown? You may sometimes find more dog friendly policies in outlying areas.

Thanks for the input. Do you know the commute times if I were going to downtown Seattle for those areas? I thought Tacoma was further out. I don't really want to commute any more than an hour.

Sure. The commuter rail from Everett (or Tacoma) to Seattle is an hour, perfect amount of time for a good nap . Kent to Seattle train is 35 minutes. Here's the link with info and more stations and commute times along the way (Mukilteo, Edmonds, Sumner, Auburn, Puyallup): https://www.soundtransit.org/sites/d...er-service.pdf
