We are possibly moving from Pasadena, Ca to work in Kent, Wa. We have never been there & would love to find a safe, good schools, late 30's early 40's age neighbors that's is social & dog friendly. I hear Kent is not a good area. What is Renton like? My husband has never had to commute but 7 miles so we would like to make it as smooth as possible. I understand that traveling south in the a.m. to Kent & north in the p.m. is ok. I also have been watching the traffic report on wsdot & it does seem to be ok. Would love to meet stay-home moms, non-working wives for shopping, coffee, movie etc, & men in a poker club. Any suggestions on where to live for that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would recommend that you look farther east from downtown Kent. Once you get out of the valley, the farther east you go, the nicer the neighborhoods will be. Think of a commute that is less than 30 minutes are being a good mark to shoot for. This will allow you to have a better selection of neighborhoods.
