This isn’t over yet, stay safe out there: https://www.google.com/amp/s/komonew...-of-a-4th-wave

“On Wednesday, the state’s Secretary of Health said a surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations suggest Washington is entering into a 4th wave of the pandemic.”

Well I thought everyone would know by now that covid will be around forever just like the flu and cold, so we can only hope it gets weaker.

Tomorrow is Jab-II for myself and 240 of my co-workers. It feels like some weight is lifting.

Yawn. 7-day death rate is at its lowest since the start of the pandemic, with no upward trend in sight. Weather is warm and dry, wind+UV make it almost impossible to spread. Vaccinations open to all adults. 80% of age 65+ have at least one dose.

The pandemic is over.

Yes, COVID is real, but unfortunately, I don’t believe all the disinformation that’s being put out by both sides.

All I now is that it’s time to open up our schools, get people back to work and get our local economy moving forward again. COVID isn’t going anywhere so, we need to learn to live our lives about it.

What I can honestly state is that “I” do not support, in any manner, shutting down the State again for any reason... Unless backed up with cold hard facts, supported solely by scientific facts that we’re faced with an explosion of death and critical hospitalization. IMHO and “I” truly wish I am wrong, but “I” feel that COVID is now being used as a political tool.

The measures you recommend are what's causing the 4th wave. Every time they open up restaurants, even on a limited basis, there's a surge. And not that most people over 60 are vaccinated, the virus is hitting younger people, including teens and 20-somethings, some of whom had come to believe they were invincible.

This is exactly how the virus morphs into more deadly variants. If everyone had gotten vaxxed in time, this wouldn't be happening.

Not more deadly. More contagious. And let's close everything forever then? Is this the solution?

We'll keep our masks on and continue to avoid high density places.
