My favorite song and greatest memory from "Nevermind' was Come As You Are.
It had just been released and Smells was getting airplay and causing some chatter.

I had this solid '88 Audi Couple GT and put way to much money into the audio system, it sounded good. A friend needed a ride, she happened to be very cute, a sweetheart, had serious hair and also a former stripper.

She hadn't heard the complete recording so I started with Come As You Are with that slow bass intro.
She started dancing/swaying (while seated and belted!) and that song became the most erotic sound I've known. Love that

Didn't the remodeled Crocodile have pizza too? I remember eating pizza there at shows in the early 2010s.

Just finished it, really well done. Shows a time in their lives when they were having fun, being goofy, just making the music they felt in their hearts.

It seemed that during this carefree and contended period in the bands history, that there was an energy, innocents, creativity, positiveness and passion. Sadly this was later lost due to subsequent events and Kurt's drug and health issues.

We originally were going to do a Nirvana song and then we were kind of goofing around and you know, like doing Jolene, it was like, wait a minute. What if we actually did Jolene?.

The Seattle scene changed radio programming. This is the real story. Not only with rock and alternative stations, but Top40 pop too. This is the lasting legacy of the Seattle sound. It
may have been short but it definitely was real and a major sea change in popular music.
