To be honest the wife and I have even discussed snowbird locations.

I have a lot of responsibilities coming up to do in the Bay Area and the wife wants no part in missing any of the nice PNW summer weather that’s about to come.
Fingers crossed that it does get better. There was one year, 1993 when we first came here that it stayed pretty dreary until late July/early August.

There was NOTHING wrong with 1993.

Worked only ONE fire that year and that was Labor Day weekend, to relieve a Forest Service employee who was working with child.

1994. That year, from July 24th to November 15th they were ALL fire paychecks.

There were a few years in the 80s/90s (not sure which ones in hindsight) when it was so cool and gray all summer I never unpacked shorts. That seemed to be more of the "status quo" than the sunshine we've had in recent years.

Just got back from San Diego, amazing weather and it's actually somewhat green. We don't have control over the weather, climate (to a large extent), but can make the most out of it using human ingenuity. SOCAL is not just about beaches, they have Legoland, Sea World to Disney and Universal. So many attractions for kids and teenagers.

In Seattle, it would be great, if we had some large-scale indoor theme park, utilizing the PNW themed shows like Twilight or even the dreary English weather of Harry Potter. So, kids have some place to go during the cold and gloomy days between Nov and December. In Dubai, they have indoor ski resort in the middle of desert https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ski_Dubai

On a positive note, we are at least getting a Top Golf location here, opening in Renton soon..

I am ok with this weather.
Sure 70-75 is pristine but these days in the low 60’s are easy enough to deal with.

I spent all day on a couple different beaches in the water enjoying the extreme low tide scouting geoducks areas and working an oyster farm.

We are getting reports from family in California saying that the weather is unstable there.
It’s been bouncing from the mid to high 90’s down to the 60’s.
They can have it.
If I’m in high 90’s I’m not liking it.
