hi everybody

Im Abdul-Rahman Bukhari , 21 year old single medical student and i live in saudi arabia


im glad to join u here

im in love of travelling to america to improve my accent , to have friends and to live its crazy open life but i have not had the oppurtunity yet

and im actually working on having a summer elective in america next year

and several people in my country advised me to go to seattle ,,, they say it ie the best fo foriegners


so im here to ask u for any help u can do for me ... and i will be grateful for ur response

Welcome to the board! I don't really know anything about visiting from out of the country, but the population in the Seattle area seems pretty diverse to me (maybe not as diverse as some CA cities, but diverse, nonetheless).

Welcome, olaamego. Yes, as you and VeronikaW said, Seattle does welcome people from all over the world. Some people from many countries visit here. Other people from many countries live and work here.

here are my questions ::

how to get a summer elective in seattle ??

then, where are the cheap ,safe and good places to live over there ???

note : i have emailed (harborview medical center ) about this sunject and i got nothing...

so i really would like to ask someone who is over there to go and ask them about it...

im really sorry about replying lately... but my internet is down




i ment a medical summer elective program

it is a trainning program offered by hospitals or even medical schools to train the medical student on different medical areas... emergency or clinics

the program usually is of 4 weeks or maximum 6 weeks





and by the way, Allocraft i really appreciat ur concern about my subject

I think those programs are coordinated between the hospitals and the medical schools. If you are in a medical school here in the United States they will find a hospital for you to work in.
