I'm from Atlanta and need to be able to find an apartment online. What neighborhoods do most students that go to Seattle University live in? I need something kinda cheap, but it needs to be in a safe area. Any recommendations?

I go there for my masters. It's gone through some really nice upgrades lately - lots of condos in the area. You can look at Capital Hill, or even First Hill. Those are very young urban hip areas - and the safety is moving target. I wouldn't as a girl feel scared during the day - but at night, I'd definately feel unsafe.

First Hill, Capitol Hill, and the Central District are the closest neighborhoods to Seattle U...And I'd echo what Citygirl72 said...Some of those areas can be just fine, but some a little sketchier...It would also be a short bus ride to Leschi or Madrona, which are mostly pleasant areas.

"Cheap" and "safe" may not be possible. But it all has to do with how you define either word.
