I agree..I have found that Target's stores are brighter, wider aisles, better class of shoppers and much friendlier salespeople. It would be nice if they were open a bit later, but again, maybe that's why the experience is a lot better and more pleasant .

On the whole, though, I'm getting sick of Wal-Mart's arrogance, disorginization and attitude as a whole. Hopefully one day I will cease shopping there for good.

you've said it, arrogance, disorganization, attitude, and you've left out ignorance.

Yes, businesses have such distinctive personalities. Or do they? Businesses with personality, or advertising/marketing campaigns that imply personalities? And it couldn't be that part of the "personality" we credit Wal-Mart with having is really the product of a well-organized union campaign against the world's largest employer. A company that is very much anti-union.

Oh, I most certainly hate Wal Mart because they are so anti-union, as I hate Whole Foods (the darling store of witless "social" liberals) for the same reason.

I also hate Wal Mart because I can't get Godiva chocolates there and have to settle for that lousy half-gallon milk carton of Whopper malted milk-balls.

You don't have Godiva chocolates at your Wal-Mart!!??!!

We do.

And just this past week, I picked up some baklava, and some gruyere cheese and some of those chocolate-dipped peppermint sticks you can use to stir hot cocoa with. What I check for, though, every time I go, is for real kielbasa, and Maypo. Can't get Maypo in my region.

Has nothing to do with being "classist" or "elitist" I just happen to enjoy shopping at a place where people are respectful and the employees actually care, when you can find one to help you, that is.

dear friend, if, I say if, walmart had a union, it would probably be the UFCW, and, if it is, or would be, walmart workers would definitely be, no better off. why? my wife was in this union years ago, and they did absolutely nothing for her, or her fellow workers. when corporate bosses went to the bargaining table with this union, the union caved in, and let corporate decide when and how much was authorized for pay and benefits. bear in mind, this is the very same union that was busted by hormel in minnesota. they, UFCW is weak, puney at best.

How can a union be successful when anybody with a pulse can do the work?

The only unions that will survive are those that represent workers with skills that are hard to replace doing work that can not be outsourced.
