Hi - Does anyone use the cell phone service offered by this company? Positives or negatives?

Also, their web site is confusing. Is the 250 minute plan, per month or 250 per year? I think per month, but it wasn't clear. Thanks for any help!

I've been using it for about a year, I formerly had AT&T but I dont use my cell phone much and I was paying for minutes I never used with AT&T. I learned about Consumer Cellular on this forum and I love it. No contracts and awesome customer service. I cant give you any info about the 250-minute deal but you can ask them and I guarantee you'll get a prompt reply.

Thanks for the info - I got a flyer from them since I'm an AAA member and their plan seemed to be pretty straightforward - think I will check it out further!

Thank you! I am in a similar situation where I pay $60 a month and we only use about 100 minutes a month. We also don't text much or anything fancy so we were looking to slice our bill. Looks like its worth checking out. Thanks

There's no shame in going with pay as you go. 100 minutes on T-Mobile would cost you as little as $10!

Thanks SCR. I was never sure with the pay as you go plans if we could keep our existing numbers which we have had since 1997 so we ended up with the $30 a month with the AAA plan for me and the wife. Still better than the $60 we were paying with verizon which was already discounted through my employer. Anyone else interested in this plan - sign up was a breeze and activation was easy as well. They shipped the phones and paperwork in 2 days. So far so good...

That is such a rip off. 100 minutes is nothing. One hour and 20 minutes, then bam, you have to pay $10.00. You might as well get a plan that saves you some money. If you have to pay $30.00, for talking on the phone for 4 hours, that is just money going down the toilet. Wasted money.

For $30.00 you can talk all month long, without limits, with some companies, like Cricket. But I guess it just depends on how fancy you want your phone to be.

One hour and 20 minutes?
4 hours?

Check your math, please.

What are you complaining about? I rounded up the numbers, so what?

The few minutes not counted ,dont make much of a difference. You're still getting scr*wed.
