I love the olympics Kelly Holmes winning two gold medals at the 2004 Games, one in the 800 meter run and the other in the 1,500 meter run is one of my favorite ever sporting moments.
I love the Olympics too! I watch everything because I love to watch people that are so good at their chosen sport. It's impressive and inspiring IMO. LOVE track!
I'm not sure if the GB womens team is fair or not, but I will be watching!
with a "team gb", it was always gonna be swayed toward the engerlush. when the men's side is announced it will be the same pish. each country has it's own FA and it should stay that way. FTQ!
Why do you call it half-assed? The Olympics feature some of the best athletes in the world and some of the best sports that we so seldom get to see.
football isnt taken seriously in the olympics, until recently , it was limited to under 23,s
i thought beckham would have been in the team , not because he is worth his place on merit but be because the guy is an institution at this stage and the olympics reeks of institutionalism , i loved the olympics as a kid ,i hate it now bar the swimming which i only get to see every four years
Best sports you seldom get to see ? Nah I get to see the best sports. The Olympics is reserved for sports nobody really cares about but gets excited about once every few years.
Any by half asssed I was really referring to the one sport in the Olympics I would watch which is boxing and I gave up on that as its nowhere near as good as "real" boxing and its got nothing to do with the helmets or anything, I come from a Boxing school.
the usa doesnt take boxing seriously at the olympics , its dominated by cuba , russia and of late , china
I like it, you gota look at it as a different sport from pro boxing.
