Since I can't say an Asian country, Russia or New Zealand (the teams I'm most actively rooting for), I'm gonna have to say I hope for a Brazil vs Argentina Final - and may the best of the two WIN!

European teams will dominate I think. Germany, I can't see past them.

Because Suarez sucks and is a dirty player

Germany seems to have the best shot at winning but they'll probably choke like usual if they let the games slide to pk's

It's so hard to pick one team. To me I think they fall into two tiers of top contenders:

Tier 1 -
Argentina (home continent, European teams traditionally do poorly in South America, Brazil is slightly down and Messi is coming into his own on the international stage finally and has good support around him mostly)
Germany (great young and growing nucleus, great mental strength, continuing to grow and rise as a nation again)
Spain (what more needs to be said about them?)

Tier 2 -
Brazil (home nation but not exactly thrilling anybody of late with their performances)
Holland (can they ever fulfill the 'potential'?)
France (a good mix of established and young players, someone to watch out for)
Italy (great veteran leadership, some younger fresher faces, and always strong and dangerous especially when underestimated. Not thrilled with present coaching so dependent on him not getting in the way)

If I had to put money on one squad I would struggle between Argentina and Germany. I think I would lean Germany because I trust the defense and keeper more, but Argentina on home continent soil with a high flying Messi looking to finally put his signature on the biggest stage might be tough to hold down.

I'm putting my money on Germany - Bayern Munich finally won the Champions League, and a majority of the German NT comprise of Bayern players so they might have finally got over their choking mentality xD Germany is a strong, attacking side with young, talented players and I'm hoping 2014 will be the year for them to end their streak of always being third, aha.

Brazil's NT isn't anything to brag about anymore IMO, and while Argentina has class players, I still don't see them going all the way. Obviously Spain are favourites, but I've never really warmed to the Spaniards, or the way how they play football.
