Somehow my link to the International Center of the Upstate (http://www.internationalupstate.org/index - broken link) was not working properly just now. I apologize for apparently posting the wrong link.

Overall best for living and raising a family, stay with the three largest metros (Greenville, Charleston, and Columbia) and you will do well. There are several areas within each metro that are great for families.

Since I live in beautiful Greenville (http://greatergreenville.com/ - broken link) I'll share a few places to check out here:
  • Downtown
  • Simpsonville
  • Powdersville
  • Travelers Rest
  • Mauldin
  • Greer
  • Easley
  • Pelham-Batesville
  • Blue Ridge
  • Taylors
  • Fountain Inn

A house with a 2-car garage for 50-70k? You *might* be able to find that in some of the rural areas of SC, maybe, possibly, perhaps...but then you'd be far away from your customer base. Not gonna happen in any of the larger SC cities.
