I'm moving from NJ to SC and I need to hire a couple guys to help unload a truck. After searching on the internet I'm not having any luck. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Have you tried a temp service? You could most likely get a couple of guys that way. Most of the time it is a 4 hour minimum for workers.

Where in SC are you moving? In Columbia, you could call Two Men and a Truck moving service, or the Oliver Gospel Mission if you're looking for day laborers.

Thanks for the replys. I'm moving to outside Myrtle Beach area and I don't know anyone there and I'm still in NJ, so I have to rely on the internet to find people. I emailed Two Men & a Truck but they have a terrible reputation and they want to charge a ridiculous amount of money.

Rapture - I am also looking for this info. When are you moving. We are moving the end of Jan. from NJ to Carolina Forest. I think you said you are using U-Pack in NJ - I checked their prices and they seem the best. Let me know how you like them.

Thanks Evey I'll check it out.

GJM - I'm moving around the 15th of January. So far U-Pack has the best price & reputation. I haven't made a reservation but I'll let you know what happens.

Still need help.........I've called every temp. agency in the area and they all said they don't provide people for that service. I found a moving company that said they can do it but I've called three times to confirm a day and they never call back. I'm not sure how to get day laborers there and can I depend on that? Two Men & A Truck want a ridiculous amount of money for a couple hours work, plus they have a terrible reputation. Does anyone know of any other moving companies in the area that would maybe spare a couple guys for a few hours? Thank you.
