How is it to live there? Looking to move there within the next year. How is the schooling and is the crime low, have a 4 year old son too. Gonna be transferring with my work. Help would be appreciated. Also are there any department stores/malls near by. Thanks

What dont you like about it, and what is there to like? Just looking for some info on the area before we move. Looking for kind of country area, not too fond of of big cities. Thanks

Pageland is OK. I grew up in Ruby it is about 12 miles away. Pageland is close to Monroe and Charlotte NC for shopping. Pageland has your basic grocery stores and hardware stores. It does have a nice private school which my brother attends. I attended Ruby Elementary which was great and then you transfer to Chesterfield High. Ruby is a small town with a school and a post office and great neighbors. I have family in all three towns Pageland, Ruby, and Chesterfield. Chesterfield is about 20 miles from pageland and it has 3 stop lights good schools (newly built), a few fast food places and a new growing YMCA. From Chesterfield the closest Walmart is in Cheraw (about 8 miles). All of these towns are on Hwy 9. The west side of Pageland is not that great but the other sides are pretty good.

Do you know anything about lancaster, not the county the town? Was looking to move there also, just can't decide. I figured that lancaster would be closer to all the stores and stuff. I would have to travel a little to work but I rather be closer to stuff. Thanks for the info.

Default Moving to Pageland

Depends on where you are going to be working at as to where you want to live. If you are going to be working in Pageland then Lancaster is not to far to drive, about 30 minutes depending on just where in Lancaster.
