My hubby and I will be doing a relocation visit the middle of May. We have two daughters - 15 & 11. We are looking to get information on as many different towns as we can. We currently live in a rural area on the Eastern Shore of MD. We want to purchase a country home on at least 5 acres - would like to be able to raise beef cows. Good schools are a must! I'm a RN and he's a Road Service Tech for an Ag company. Obviously must be able to find jobs in healthcare and Ag related industries. Would like to be rural, but within an hours drive of major shopping, etc. Would also like to be within a 2-3 hour drive of the coast.

I know it's a tall order, but any suggestions or help would be most appreciated! Thanks so much!

Aiken near Augusta, and Camden near Columbia, would be 2 charming towns. Both are horsy.

Live somewhere in the Upstate, look in several towns outside of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Landrum is a rural town near the border of North Carolina, so that's a good option right there. You can raise your cows around there.
