Hi everyone; been reading the forums for a while. I'll be divorced soon and most likely end up in Spokane or Springfield, MO. in April. Just recently retired and will have enough income to live fairly comfortably.
Currently in the Phoenix, AZ area and looking forward to leaving the crime, traffic, congestion, noise, heat, etc....behind. I love winter outdoor activities and love having four seasons. I think Spokane will be a good fit for me.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to the board and look forward to many more informative posts.

Just to clarify, are you looking to relocate to Spokane, Washington?

I ask because there is a Spokane in the Springfield, MO metro area. If you're looking for info on that Spokane, you're in the wrong forum. This is Spokane, WA.

Something tells me lots of people wind up in Spokane for reasons like that.

There are plenty of folks in Spokane who moved there years ago and are STILL looking for the Space Needle, for example.

Don't want to burst your bubble.....but, there is plenty of crime here in Spokane. Not terrible, but check out City-data's crime stats......Spokane's are pretty high. Lots of tweakers and whatnot in this area. There has been a rash of home invasions in the last 3-4 months.

That being said, Spokane is a very nice city IMHO......lots of sun.
