I know it just opened today and I'm curious to know how good the restaurant is? Is it an upscale fast food Mexican restaurant? I really like Taco Time a lot and not a big fan of Taco Bell

It's on my places to go soon, so I'll let you know as soon as I do. I'm tired of Taco Bell...ready for something new.

Chipotle is awesome. It's more along the lines of Q'doba, Baja Fresh, or Taco Del Mar (less like Taco Bell or Taco Time).

I love to get the "fajita bowl" -- peppers and onions, no beans. Then add meat, green salsa, corn salsa, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. Eat the whole thing with chips.

It's so big it will easily last for two+ meals.

Obviously you can't eat something like that very often, but for a treat once and a while...so good.

I have gone to Taco Del Mar but never been to Baja Fresh and Q'doba (I'm from Walla Walla BTW), I am going to Spokane next month for a week, I will definitely check out the Chipotle sometime, I like Taco Time MUCH better than Taco Bell

I live in the city where Chipotle was founded, the land of WHOLE BEANS.

Yes, they do not mash them, very unlike Taco Bell, --Time, Del--, or anywhere else with Taco in its name, or any other West Coast (dare I say California) style Mexican food. It just kills me.

Qdoba is nearly identical to Chipotle, except that they don't hire illegals, and they have queso.

But, even with the shortcomings mentioned, the food is very fresh, the ambiance is casual (but 100X more formal than Taco Time), and it generally is a decent experience. Worth trying and having occasionally, but not much more IMO.
