All the better. Maybe now David Peacock can champion spending $400 million on something that will benefit us instead of a billionaire.

We are also looking forward to not having been tied to $400M of free money given to billionaires, and not share in any of the profits and utilize that investment more wisely for our citizens.

Your beautiful city can greatly benefit from not having to kowtow to the NFL as well.

Sorry as I am to see the Chargers go.

It will be even more awkward here- The Chargers are apparently staying in their despised host city for at least a year while they work out the option to join the Rams in Stinklewood- awkward!

From the Chicago Tribune:

“They made the right decision,” Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. “It’s such a natural to have the Los Angeles Rams back in Los Angeles.”

Jones described Goodell as “brilliant in how he led the ownership to this decision.”

Jones added that the Chargers “have every opportunity to have the Chargers in San Diego.” He also said St. Louis “is certainly an NFL town.”

What is the comment about St. Louis being an NFL town supposed to mean? I wouldn't think St. Louis would get a third team, now having lost two.

I feel bad for St. Louis right now. Oh well, some of us will be happy tonight and some won't be.

St Louis is really getting the shaft here. St Louis is a much better NFL town than what this makes them look like. This would have never happened if the NFL had just done what it should have done in the first place and awarded StL an expansion team rather than Jacksonville which is a third the size of metro StL.

30 NFL owners voted yes on the move and 2 voted no.
Wonder who those two were ?
Chargers owner and Raiders owner ? I can't think of anyone else.

These billionaires are really despicable.

I don't see St. Louis getting another team either.

The odds seem pretty long, don't they?

We can now lay claim to being the biggest market without a team. The problem is that relative to NFL markets, STL isnt that big. The other problem is that by the time some sort of discussion related to another move is likely to beat any fruit, there will be a lot of markets much closer to STL in size, many of which have no more than 1 of the big 4 sports. Portland, Austin, San Antonio, Orlando, Sacramento, and Vegas will have closed a lot of the gap in the next 5-10 years.

I'm not saying that these markets are necessarily better, but with only 4 Big 4 teams between them and with their growth rates, the competition for teams will be tougher than ever...unless the NFL decided to add another 4 teams. I can't really see them doing that unless the plan is to go international.
