Default Upon being born here, in the late 60's, and upon

achieving overall awareness at an incredibly young age, I must say what annoys me upon moving to St. Louis at birth is all the trolls saying what they don't like about it. No one is holding you here against your will. We welcome you but wish you well if you leave. Some of us like it here quite a bit, even if we don't say it is the "end all to be all" as one of our numerous trolls recently accused me of saying.

Funny thing is a lot of people complain about Stl, but end up moving back a few years later.

In all fairness, this thread is explicitly about the annoying things about the area, it's not meant to be a place to post anything positive

I made the thread because we've been to STL and like what we've seen, and are considering moving there. Our own experience provides the positive side - what we want to know is the negative side that we're not going to see with just a couple visits. The sort of thing that hits you after a while and you realize, "Man, I love it here and all, but it sure is annoying how ...."

The goal is to hear as many of those random things from as many diverse people/views as possible.

It's not New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago. Thank God! I've heard for many years it's like Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, etc. Unless you live in the ghetto, it's probably a good place to live for most.

ST. LOUIS - we like it slow, easy and unchallenging here, and that's the way we'll stay.
I've got it now. This is the former poster CarlosLevy. He used to do nothing but rail on STL for being fat and ignorant...not nearly as intelligent, fit, and hardworking as him. He got banned and now he's back for vengeance. Doing a poor job of it.
