It says a lot about the reputation of the city.

No matter what the outcome of the game was, I guess they felt they won if they get back to Canada alive.

This is unbelievably stupid. Surely they've had conversations with St. Louisans at some point in their lives who could reassure them about the reality on the ground.

Some of those major cities in Canada has a lot of major crime too.

What about Detroit? That is like a super sized version of St. Louis. At least Americans in pro gun states like Missouri can take easy steps to protect themselves in dangerous areas. Can't legally do that in places like London, or Toronto.

Moforth.

Lets look at the homicide stats, comparing the largest city in Canada, which is Toronto ( population 2.5 million people ) to that of St Louis ( population 2.9 million people ).

In 2016, St Louis had 188 murders, while Toronto had 66.

sources. St Louis. https://www.google.ca/?gws_rd=ssl#q=...mber&*&spf=955

Toronto. Sharp rise in murders in Toronto in 2016 | Toronto & GTA | News | Toronto Sun

So, similar populations, but the murder rate in St Louis is about 2 and a half times higher than Toronto's is.

Well, if you are going to use metro areas, Toronto is 6 million. That probably makes the disparity even worse.

Toronto is in Canada, which has slightly more than a third of the USA's homicide rate in general. So St. Louis isn't unique in this comparison.

Please warn the growing number of Canadians coming to the US for healthcare that the journey is just too risky. Someone from STL might get them.

About one TENTH of one percent of our population goes to the US for medical treatment. About 7 million US citizens go to India, Thailand, and Mexico annually , for the same reasons. And your point was what, again ?

So you admit then that Americans would rather travel to distant third world countries like India than take a short trip up north to Canada for care, interesting. What does that say about Canada? Notice that Canadians are traveling to the US for care, and not vice versa. It seems like you Canadians should get your own house in order before you start trashing other countries.
