Another thing to consider is that a portion of the village of North Syracuse is actually in the town and is the only portion to offer some walk ability. So, could be something to think about as well.

Some home listings with a "Clay" zip code(though parts of the town can have a Liverpool zip(13090), North Syracuse zip (13212) or Baldwinsville zip (13027).

Here are listings within the town, which has about 60,000 people and covers parts of 5 school districts: https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...ay_NY?view=map

Home prices were much cheaper years ago.

The Town of Clay, which is 60,000 in population has 4 main zip code names.

From largest to smallest..I believe are

1) Liverpool, NY
2) North Syracuse, NY
3) Clay, NY
4) Brewerton, NY

Liverpool goes to Liverpool school district
North Syracuse and Clay goes to North Syracuse school district
Brewerton goes to Central Square school district

A very small part of Clay are in the Phoenix, NY school district

Too bad the the original poster lost interest in Clay NY because properties values shot up after the Micron announcement..

I like the design of the new planned apartments on Route 31 and Henry Clay Blvd

Unless you work at Micron and have a high playing job with a family, I don't see the point of living in Clay.

It's a low crime area, but one of the most boring places to live in CNY.

It does have its share of big box retail along Route 31 and Route 57, but it is pretty much standard suburbia and the most populated town outside of the city. There is some new housing in the town and some relatively upper middle class areas, but that describes the town in a nutshell.
