The Beach Theatre IS a beautiful building, BayWalk is not. BayWalk is a product of the last decade, where everything is oversized, poorly-built, and covered in stucco and Spanish tiling. It represents the economic orgy which plagued a lot of the 2000s.

Don't ya'll see what this guy is doing? No matter what is said, he will maintain his 'views'. He is just talking to hear himself talk. "If you ignore it, it will go away" And NO, this is not a Personal Attack, as it is NOT directed at the OP!

I think that baywalk is beautiful and i think it is ashame that it does not work in downtown. i dont think it is oversized, it could even be a little larger to compete with other malls

You sound like a Developper...

If you want to see lots of people, sidewalks on the waterfront and such, just go to the St-Pete downtown beach. It's a beautiful example of what a city beach can offer local residents.
The gulf beaches are for bird watching, fishing, walking. jogging, and just experiencing nature.
Who wants to see it covered with people?
